I was making a lot more money back in the Clinton administration than I was in the Bush/Obama administrations so obviously tax hikes ain't all that bad.
Government was smaller then but, if you feel the need to contribute your own money to feed the bloated pig that is government today, go right ahead! Just leave the rest of us out of it... I don't know if it's a saying but "if it doesn't work at home, it won't work in government"! Try this experiment: "spending your way out" of personal debt or "taxing" yourself (having less disposable income) by giving up more of your paycheck to your favorite charity, then try making ends meet at the endo of the month to see if that works. If it doesn't, then it also can't in GOVERNMENT!
