...it means that...? Most DVD covers of movies in b and w. are coloured. Is it done only in the cover or does exist a coloured version of the movie?
 
Unfortunately b/w is seen as a detriment to a motion picture now.
So sometimes there is the travesty of "colorizing" to make the movie more "relevant" The colored case may reflect that.

In order to catch the eye of a lot of the movie buying public, the dvd
covers have to be in color or they will be passed over by
the folks who dismiss the non-color entertainment.

A lot of the generations after me will not enjoy the great classics
such as Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life, To Have And Have Not,
Citizen Kane, Harvey, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, A Raisin In The Sun, Meet John Doe, The Front Page and others because they are not in color.



Just maybe by giving the color cases a look-see there is a possibility that a great movie will be re-discovered by a new fan.
 
well its true to say they can add colour to any black & white print or even movie now ! but they normally use posters of black & white films as covers & they was printed in colour !!
