When I down load a torrent with subtitles the subtitles don't show?

I download tagalog movies with English subtitles. When I preview on computer the subtitles are ther. But when I burn the disk and play on DvD player the subtitles are gone. Does anyone know how to fix this so the subtitles are there for the burned copy?
