The Gingerbread updates comes out to Froyo and different times depending on model. Generally, most Froyo phones that got the Gingerbread update only had for the last 3 months. Of course, there are still phones that are still waiting for the update (over 50% still). Phones like HTC Desire HD and Samsung Galaxy S had the Gingerbread update since June. So releases are at random. Google releases the update, manufacturers (eg: Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola and etc.) grabs it and modifies it, then releases the update along with the modifications. If you have a carrier branded device, carriers will modify it further (take even longer) and then release it with even more modification. Dates can be random, some models already has it, some still have to wait. Update release dates vary from country to country.
As for your phone, I'm not sure if it's out yet or not. But if you would like to check, do the following:
1. Download and install Samsung Kies on your computer: www.samsungapps.com/about/onPc.as
2. Have Samsung Kies opened on your computer.
3. Connect your Samsung Galaxy 5570 to your computer via USB
4. I'm not sure if it works the same way but once connected, some Kies screen on your phone should come up.
5. If Samsung Kies on your computer can detect it (even without the Kies screen on your phone), then that means it will be able to find the update.
6. If it's detected, it will search for an update, if it finds one, it will warn you and you can optionally download it. It will ask you to back up just in case, but if you're confident that nothing will go wrong, then skip it.
7. It will then download the update and install it into your phone (while your phone reboots and all that)
8. Once complete, you should have Gingerbread.
