This is a special movie in my heart. It is a Christmas movie from 1984 starring Mickey Rooney. The plot is about a grandpa who promised to take his grandson Robby to New York City for Christmas. Unfortuntately, the grandpa (Mickey Rooney) dies of a heart attack. When he goes to Heaven he makes a deal with an Angel to be sent back to earth to show his grandson Christmas in New York. Mickey's mission is to help find the Angel of Christmas Cheer. So Mickey and Robby make to New York to find it is not the same as it was back when the grandpa was a policeman for New York. Everyone in the city is missing the Christmas spirit. Everyone they meet seems down about something like the economy. Sounds just like now days. Anyway they find the Angel and try to save the spirit of Christmas and restore hope and love before Christmas Da before it is too late. This film is a treasure and I wish t.v. would air it again. The only copies to be found are on sites like www.Amazon.com, but only in VHS form for around $40.00-$99.00.
