...want the world to help them? It seems to happen every year. People living beyond their means. Taking trips they cannot afford. Running from place to place & then putting out public appeals for help & just plain pity. As we age, shouldn't this type of behavior come to a halt?

~Why don't some of us learn how to live within our means?
~What type of a person constantly calls out for help from agencies & the general public?

~Do you have a limit to your help when others cry out for assistance? I do.
I never send money or my email address that has my real name on it!
That's what most of these internet con artists are seeking.
Beware Yahoo members.
Be very aware & try not to become their next victims.
 
i know what you mean.in our little town we have a topix where people ask for stuff or voice a opinion.one woman was asking for some christmas help for her and her 8 kids.i will never understand why their are so many woman in our community who have lots of kids and cant afford them.she said welfare was helping her some.god almighty it just racks my brain how stupid people can be.i would love to be able to help people who really need it,but she has went beyond my caring.down here where i live if you are a woman and have kids,you are guaranteed insurance.[under 18]
 
Felling sorry or helping people who are less fortunate than you, does not require a law. We should be thankful that we are not in their position in life. I agree with you about people living beyond their means. They are never satisfied with what they have and always want more. There are people who really can not keep up with their expenses because they don't earn enough money. These are the people who work and are trying to do the best they can do to support their family. The problem is that it's very easy to get assistance in this country and there is where the problem starts. The Investigators are not able or capable of doing their job because either they are lazy or the work for each investigator is overwhelming and they can not physically handle the work load.
People who truly need help should get it and the cheaters should be arrested. Believe me there are a lot! of cheaters.

True there are alot of senior a s s h o l e in YA that do this and they are expecting us to clean up their mess. Its not seniors but blacks, mexicans, and lazy white people. We should make examples out of them instead of letting them contaminate the rest of the population
 
I can only do what I do best and that is talk to them... beyond that..... no.
I find they do not want their problem solved anyway as its a way of life for them. I would never send money.
They will just come up with another reason why your solution won't work..... you can see them coming a mile away,LOL
 
I have recently learnt from my mothers situation that you have to prepare for your old age before you need to. In about 10 years time I plan to sell my 3 bedroom house and move into something smaller, more manageable, cheaper to run and recoup some equity. I can`t understand how some people find themselves in dire straights at 55 - 60+ years old. Even if you`ve had the experience of a divorce at that age I should have though you would have got some money out of it and had some put by. I suppose some people are just victims of their own continual bad decision making.
 
I have been a member of this senior section for 3 years. and believe it or not it has happen right here in this section
One gentleman even brought up the great idea we should all send a few dollars to a fund . and then if one of we seniors needed it would be send to us
I like helping out , but I have been burned way to many times

I got a letter from the World Wildlife Fund.
They want me to adopt a polar bear.
If a half ton carnivore can't take care of
it self then what are those people going to do?
Feed them baby seals?
