where is the fuel regulator on a 1998 GMC Sierra?

Its in the upper part of the intake. Its pretty much part of the injector assembly. You can see where the fuel lines go in and out if you remove the air intake plenum. To do that you have to loosen the clamp on the hose that comes from the air cleaner box and then remove the long plastic wing nut that is just behind the rectangle box on the middle of the engine where it says vortec. After those two things are off that whole plastic assembly will lift off starting from the back and hinging forward till you can lift it clear. Im not sure if the regulator can be replaced without at least removing the upper manifold.

looks like a 4.3 v6 motor and i don't think TB motors have fuel pressure regulators, they have throttle position sensors that tell how much gas to send or let in,i think that's how it works anyways if haynes doesn't help its probably cause you don't have one,they are very good detail oriented manuals, whats the problem with the motor anyways? feel free to email me

I am not 100% positive, but I can tell you that your fuel inlet line will run directly into it. Look toward the back of the throttle body. Your fuel line runs into it and then it runs out into the fuel rail. Hope this helps.
Try this site, it tells you where it is if you have the 5.3.
