Who are some famous people that have an impact on the world?

I am looking for someone to do for my language arts project(it has to be a biography) and i need somebody (dead or alive) to do a biography on but, they have to have done something good to help the world........ any ideas??

If you want someone interesting try Nikola Tesla or Leonardo Da Vinci. Two great unsung heroes. Or Mahatma Gandi or FDR/Winston Churchill

I have to do the same project! Just started 2 days ago. I just got all my favorite bands, and got the singers or guitarists from them, then I asked my ELA teacher which one's I could do. I ended up with Carlos Santana. Good Luck
