Mavs
- Swept the 2 time defending champions
- Great road warriors
- Had won 10 of their last 11 games
- Dirk who is very hungry for a ring

Heat
- Defeated the Celtics in 5 games
- undefeated at home after the regular season
- only 3 losses in the playoffs
- Big 3 wanting to win championship
