Who else hates it when "talented" celebrities lip sync the National Anthem at the
Super Bowl? http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nation/bal-te.peopledigest030feb03,0,4621120.story
I understand that "variables" may devastate a live performance, but what kind of "variables"? Glitches with the audio? That could happen replaying a recorded track too. "But Simple, every1 else does it!" Not really, but close, sadly. The anthems of SB 38 and 42 were lip synced, and the one that Whitney Houston did in 91 was lip synced too. But the ones done live sound just as good. What is the real reason they do this? I understand that maybe Hudson was scared and nervous, considering the horror that she has been through, but then she should have never accepted the responsibility of singing the national anthem in the first place. I just think it sucks that I have friends in Iraq fighting for our freedom, that millions of soldiers in American history have DIED to uphold the values and virtues manifested in the national anthem, and the best a singer could do to honor it is to pretend to sing it. Disgusting, pitiful.
