Why are people bashing Code Geass? Ten points?

I know there are a lot of fans of Code Geass, me being one of them. I think it is the most brilliant and amazing anime I have ever seen. I was just blown away by the entire series. I know its an anime tailored to a wide range of viewers, but it is obviously placed in the mecha genre. Is that why people keep on bashing it? Because its not "truly" mecha, but more more of a mix of everything so mecha fans keep on talking trash about it? I don't get it. Could someone please enlighten me? It's really bothering me. Ten points for best answer?
oh and if you happen to like Code Geass could you please mention it too? I kind of want to get an idea of what people who also like the show think about this. thanks.
 
Well going with ur mecha idea i think they are bashing it obviously because the idea of the knightmares was taken from the series Gundam. I also thought so too, and what i think that people are thinking is that its just another bad copy of gundams. But if u get to watch it through to the end it has a very genuine idea other than the Knightmares its a really good show. So one of the reasons people would hate it is because some ideas were taken from Gundam and also because they havent watched the whole show.
Also to add for myself i want to add... I actually like the "name" Knightmares for the machines other than Gundams i think Knightmares sound more imposing and cool. But if we are talking about Gundam veterans who have watched every branch of gundam and every season i can understand why they would hate a show like that has come along. But anyways im just rambling :)
 
i guess they compare it to gundam
and its not the same
personally i think i notice the characters in the show more than the robots
and the guys do look like girls and the girls look unrealistically.....good
