Why are people offended if you DON'T think someone is born gay?

WTF!? it makes no sense to me.....have these people heard of tabula rasa....or do they even know that a genetic predisposition doesn't mean you are BORN gay. You can have a gay gene without being born gay(Just like you can have a gene for a certain disease, or for blue eyes and you don't end up having that disease or blue eyes)....whatever happened to nurture....is it all nature now?

Or do those people think some how that someone who thinks the majority of people are not born gay is some how a homophobe? (<---which is an utterly ridiculous assertion O_O )

This question is based off another question asked earlier. Most people who think people are born gay got thumbs up and those who didn't think people were born gay got thumbs down.....even those who were indifferent (admitting that they don't know since the scientific community is at a flux with this issue) got thumbs down (again, wtf!?). Anyways, this just doesn't happen on YA!...it happens most of the time when I engage in a debate about this topic with others. Its as if people WANT people to be born gay.

I think i was born gay. But i really don't give a fuck if someone has a different opinion. And there have been studies about the whole nature vs nuture shit, and nuture gets fucked up. I personally think its a combination of both that can mold someone. Its not about the whole wanting to be born gay. Do you really think that someone wants to be critizied for the way live until they die? To have every aspect of your life judged by eyes looking out instead of looking in. To have politics and religion say that what they are doing is a sin or thay they cannot be with the person they love. Its not about the question. Its about the tone. Its depends how your questions comes off. I can tell you that your last paragraph might offend people. Especially the last sentence. I had a friend who literally hated the fact that she had feelings for the same gender. She hated so much that she would cut herself for it. I do not think people want to be gay when a whole shit load of people judge them and hate them for it.

Its just all about acceptance dude. Its about accepting who your are. Not about defending the whole "born gay or raised gay shit" . Its just a sensitive topic. Just like religion. Gay marriage. Abortion. Teen Pregnancy. Death Penalty.
