Why are people so paranoid about PDA?

Actually I won't lie I hardly see two guys kissing in public. It seems I'm always seeing straight couples being all over themselves. yet when gay couples do that same thing its wrong? I mean I don't know why people have an issue with kissing or even a little making out in public. I mean what is causing you to watch, I mean you can be in a room or in a park. Me making out with my boyfriend isn't the big event there, we don't put magnets in your brains to make you look. So ignore us, we don't care.

Ever notice how most people who have an issue with PDA are either Single or religious?

gah, i agree. where i am there can be a decent amount of rednecks and sometimes i can't hold his hand without getting stared at. it's annoying as hell but i guess we just ignore it. i assume people who think there can't possibly be a romantic component to a gay relationship see everything they do as sexual, so if they're making out they might as well be blowing each other, while if a straight couple does it it's sweet.

I agree for the most part, but keep in mind there ARE people that wish to ban all Public demonstrations of affection, that means, straight nor gay may kiss or evenhold hands and walk in public

Same reason people are paranoid about nudity, and you hit the nail on the head - the religious Puritans that infest this country in every corner. They seem to condemn and despise everything except worship of their sky wizard. Forget them - be sure to turn up the heat whenever you see one giving you a judgmental glare.
