The two are intertwined.We Catholics and several others believe the only way to spend eternity with God is by spending this one living in love and kindness. But we do believe this life is a school for the next.

Make no mistake, they are trying to tell people how to live their ""earthly"" lives, especially when it comes to private matters such as sex.
