Why are there so many Hollywood celebrities at Obama's inauguration ?

I voted for Obama, but this inauguration is really over the top. I can't believe entertainers like Usher and Beyonce and so many other Hollywood types are there. Does anyone else think that this kind of over the top celebration is a bit much? Does anyone else think that Obama should prove himself prior to such a celebration? Is anyone else concerned that this kind of symbolism is exactly what we don't need in a recession?
 
An honest man would cut his own budget as a show of sensitivity for people who are losing the jobs and homes. This is proof he couldn't care less about people. He is ready to rule like a king. You peons pay your taxes promptly we are going to have a lavish party.
