why can't there be more sci-fi movies like i-robot instead of effing romantic

It takes creativity to come up with good sci-fi stories. Romantic comedies are quite 'one with our daily life'. Hence, it's easier to come up with romantic comedies than to think and create interesting sci-fi stuffs.
