I bought my PS3 very recently and have only played Blu-rays on it so far. Today I tried to play a DVD with it. Inserted the disc and waited for it to load but instead of the film menu coming up, my TV blacks out. I must've waited around 5 minutes to see if anything would happen but nothing did. I ejected the DVD and tried to restart the system but holding down the power button did nothing. In the end I had to unplug the power cable to turn it off. I haven't tried another DVD only because I don't want the same thing happening again. FYI, the DVD I put in was a region 2 copy of Legally Blonde. Is this a known issue with the PS3 or what?
