they dance in front of people they act they do live interviews they go to awards ceremonies they perform they learn they take critisism how can they say they are shy with no confidence and say its all an act? im shy i dont think id be able to do things they do if i did i would be confident strong and mess up my career lol how they always know what to say or what to do?
why do famous people say they are shy with low self esteem ? i dont understand?

A lot of people go into show business to overcome their shyness. It gives them a way to kind of step outside of themselves and express themselves in ways that they can't in real life.
For some celebs who have very extroverted public images, but are actually introverted in real life (like Lady Gaga and Marilyn Manson), their image is kind of who they feel they are on the inside and who they want to be, but are afraid to be in real life, for whatever reason. It's kind of like the movie The Mask with Jim Carrey, when he put on the mask he became everything he wished he could be, but was afraid to be without the mask. Sometimes people can only truly be themselves when they're pretending to be someone else because it's easier to let go of their inhibitions. So, more or less, I guess in some cases, it's the public image that's the act, to hide or overcome how shy they are in real life.

They are trained to give interviews and perform it's their job. I can totally understand them because I'm extremely shy. But at my former job I had to learn how to speak in front of groups people, make my opinion known and constantly interact and get along with people I didn't like as people. You should check youtube for old video's of prince on american band stand or Michael Jackson on soul train or any other show when he was younger. You can tell that they're shy because prince wouldn't even speak in his earlier interviews and Michael blushed a lot, had his head down and you could tell by their body language that they were shy. But some times you have to push past your insecurities to survive especially if it's to do something you love. Michael used to say that if he didn't use the gifts and ideas god gave him they'd be taken away from him and I beleive this to be true. Sorry 4 the long answer this is a subject close to me.
