Why do guys in France dont want relationship between 18- year old girls?

I met 21 year old animateurs and I like 2 of them but they say im little and that when Im 18 I wont be little anymore. Wtf? Im 17 years old.

So I like him a lot but it seems like theres this law or Thing in france?
tell me if so with details. if theres no law, why are they strict about it :S

It's also about mentality. Every guy likes different age, I would never go below 20 (my own age) as the girls seem too young by personality but hey, to each his own... And to answer your question, the age of consent in France is 15 so no it is not illegal to have sex with you so it must have been about something else.
