When they do make mistakes that if anyone else committed them, people would say how terrible they were, if the celeb commits them, they turn a blind eye and say "oh he won't do it again and it really wasn't that bad". In the rare case that a celeb commits a crime and gets caught and made to pay the price for it, not only do people turn a blind eye but they also say the celeb is being treated unfairly.
