Why do people of major religions like christianity, islam, judaism, and hinduism

persecute scientologists? Scientology is considered a religion, and it gets tax cuts. The church provides them with a sense of community and their religion is about have a clean soul (Thetan levels), so why persecute it? I'm not saying all people of these religions do, but mostly i hear it from them. If you actually think about it all religions have some parts to them that are really "insane", like somebody feeding a lot of people a single fish, curing their blindness, and reincarnating, or a blue Krishna with 6 arms, or even making a dreidle out of clay, every religion is absurd at some times. Also it ticks me off to hear people preach about how Scientology is obviously wrong, because its just stupid. People could say the same about your religion too.

Anyways why do you think people do this?
 
They do it because the "religion" was made up by Ron Hubbard, an author, as a joke. On the other hand anything that helps a person to be a better person is a good thing. If it helps you to be a better person forget about the other people and live the best life you can.
 
I am an atheist and I still think Scientology is one of the stupidest cults I have ever heard of. Why would I have to pay to know the "truth"?
 
Because the founder of scientology was quoted to have said that if a person wanted to get rich all they had to do was start a religion.
 
It is pretty much the same and as ridiculous as christianity and islam. Almost the same as them too, just changed the names of some things around...

People do it because it is becoming popular.. They would say the same about christianity, but it is the majority, at least with scientology you don't have to worry about an angry mob coming at you or your job being threatened for making fun of it.
 
I have never Persecuted Scientology or known any other Hindu to do so.
 
Most every religion has a superiority complex. All those religions you named? They feel the same way about each other too, not just Scientology.
 
I think you need to look up the word "persecute". Pointing out absurdities is not "persecution".
 
I do not selectively condemn or persecute Scientologists. All religions are equally screwy, just each in its own way.

Scientology came into existence from the mind of L Ron Hubbard, a known hack science fiction writer who had just left a mental hospital after drying out from substance or alcohol abuse, I forget which. Aint it funny? Muhammed got a lot of his inspiration after substance abuse. Who knows what weeds the shepherds of the Sinai were smoking?

L. Ron's sci-fi stories weren't that good, but he managed to sell a bunch of folks on this Scientology stuff. The hack writer finally found something by which folks would remember him, but egad, what a lousy legacy.
 
I'm an atheist and I just enjoy making fun of ALL religions. But truth be told, scientology is even MORE ridiculous to me, particularly because it's a 20th century religion made up by some hack. People exceed stupidity when they buy into this crap. Kinda like mormons and their golden plates.
 
Persecute?

Don't flatter yourselves.

We are not persecuting, we are identifying.
