Why do people think celebrities should donate money to charity?

Isn't it the money that WE gave them? If we have a problem with how they are spending our money, we should stop paying them!

Do people realize everytime we watch a movie, go to a ballgame, buy a song, or go to a concert, buy a magazine (etc) that we are PAYING the celebrities?

If these people REALLY cared about charities, they would give their money to the poor instead of celebrities.
I am not talking about the people who are not complaining about the way celebrities spend their money. I am just talking about the people complaining.
I believe that celebrities should do whatever they please with their money. If we have a problem with it, we should stop "paying" them.
 
Yes but we like to be entertained, people have no imaginations so we watch read and buy these things to occupy our time. I don't really like celebrities or how they live and what they stand for but the keep me from being board so....
 
Do you really think people will ever stop enjoying the entertainment value of movies, concerts, magazines, ballgames, and music? I don't. In fact, I would say society is beginning to care more about these things than about real world issues. And so the insane amounts of money these celebrities are making is only increasing. Do they really need that much? No. Should they donate their mass amounts of wealth to other people in need? Yes.
