whine so much about that? On practically every games forum I go to, I always see people whining and whining about "occult" themes in PC games, especially hidden object and adventure games.

I hadn't really noticed until I saw all the whining, but it is true that there are a LOT of games with a supernatural theme of some kind, like ghosts, vampires, voodoo, magic, and so on. I wonder why this theme gets so much use, when there are so many other things the game developers could be doing (like you hardly ever see any space-themed games, actually I don't know of any).

Also, why do people whine so much about it? If you don't like a certain kind of game, wouldn't you just not play it? Isn't it pretty easy to know that a game called "Ancient Magic" might have something about, you know, magic? I despise match-3 type games and never play them, but it doesn't bother me that game developers keep cranking them out.
