Why do these people flatter you to your face and gossip about you behind your back?

I know these guys who are always talking about how smart I am and how they wish they could be more like me...

Then one of their friends got drunk and told me that all these people who praise me for being smart gossip about me behind my back.

He said they all think I'm really annoying because I use really big words and talk about complicated things that they don't understand.

Then there is this one really smart guy who has never praised me for being intelligent... and according to this drunken friend of their's, he's the only one who doesn't gossip about me behind my back.
 
I've never gave "gossipers" much consideration. They are not to be trusted nor do I believe much of the stuff that comes out of their mouths. I avoid them as much as possible.

Drunk people tells the truth. Quiet people is wise or sneaky. People that smile to your face is fake. The main one that kiss and hug you. Dislike you. Jealous, insecure and anger is the Devil's puppet. The best thing to do is learn about people's behavior. Cause, people in today is more heartless and cutthroat
