Why do you think so many people are interested in studying psychology?

From High School Students to well...basically anyone! All my teachers have a bachelor/master degree in psychology (Including the ones that does computer...PE teachers..etc). And to be honest, I've been an avid student of the disciplines of psychology myself.

What makes the study of psychology so interesting? Is it because we wants to learn more about ourselves?
 
I think they want to hypnotize everyone to send them all their money
 
most people would love to read minds as a super power and the closest you can get is thru the study of psychology and like you said with that degree you can do almost anything.
 
Well yes, its such a complex and interest subjuect. Understanding how we work is quite rewarding to.
 
because people want to understand others better so that they can be more in control, i think.
 
a lot of people are interested in psychology, maybe cause its about people. i like going on yahoo answers and answering questions cause i like to help people. i find it interesting
 
YES... that's what I was thinking... it helps you to understand why people do things and in turn could help u realize why you do certain things as well... I personally LOVE psychology..

my favs are psychology and anatomy & physiology.
 
Because it's the study of us! And we like to learn about ourselves and why we do the things we do. Humans our curious and always want answers. Why is it that someone who is blind in one eye, can still detect movement with that eye even though they claim they saw nothing? Why is it that people can develop "phantom limbs" where you touch their face and the claim that you are touching their arm that was recently amputated?
Interesting stuff!
