why does itunes not put some songs on my itouch?

i have dowloaded a bunch of songs onto my itunes library with no problem. but once i sync my itouch it desnt download every song!
ex. i made a playlist with 39 songs on it, after i synced, i checked my ipod and it only put 23.
on my entire music list there are 529 songs, and once i synced, only 503.
this is driving me crazy.
how can i get it to put ALL the songs i downloaded on my itouch?
also i checked and they are all the same type of file, so there is no reason for it to be doing this. :/ AHH pleze help!

I'm not sure what it is but I have had the same problem.. but i have an Ipod nano and I have 1200 song in my library but it only puts like 93 songs on there! all of my boxes are checked in my music but it wont upload them all. and I know it holds 1200 songs cause my sister has a little more than that on hers. Should we complain to Itunes or something?? I posted a similar question and no body knows or said anything back.
