Why does so many people dismiss the entire Bible as fictional when it is

evident that some facts in it are ? historically correct? Like the Books of Kings and the common sense quote from proverbs. I understand that it is filled with some stories that are hard to believe, such as Adam and Eve and The Great Flood but many of the scriptures are historically correct. Wouldn't it make more sense for people to evaluate the Bible to find the historically correct facts than for people dismiss the entire book as a myth?

There are some historically correct things in it, but they are validated with evidence from outside the bible and generally the historically correct things in the bible have nothing to do with the overall narrative presented within.

Works of fiction are still works of fiction, even if they the story takes place in California, USA which exists.

Just because it mentions a city that exists today doesn't validate the myths in it. The thrust of the Bible is one big myth. The Jesus story is a myth. god is myth.

If you don't believe the Adam and Eve or Great flood story, why do you even believe anything that the Bible says? why should the other stories in the bible be true when you already questioned the validity of adam and eve and great flood story?

i don't understand you people

The stories that are considered religiously significant aren't credible. If we wanted to discuss history, there's another section for that.
