why don't christians realise the importance of Zoroastrianism to there own religion?

basic Zoroastrian beliefs

there is one all powerful, omnipresent ,uncreated God(Ahura mazda) no evil originates from him

there is a destructive Spirit (Angra mainyu)in which all evil an sin originates from him this is the essentially Satan.

one day a messiah will come to renew the world

on the day of judgement God will judge the dead

Gods main objective is to destroy evil (the devil)

that all humans originate from "mashya" and "mashyana" (adam and eve)

zoroastrians believe everyone has a guardian angel.

zoroastrians believe that gods 1000 year kingdom will occur on earth, then all shall be judged.

they believe that good (God) will triumph over evil (the devil)

does all of this sound familiar, this is what these people believed 700 years before Jesus
to Americans realise is the british spelling of REALIZE
 
And is the Messiah God also? That's one question you didn't answer.
 
This is easy. The soroastrian's faith was not one of those approved by Constantine when he created the Bible. So he had anyone connected with the religion killed. Exactly like he did any and all other religions that professed anything different than the original Christian Sun worship religion that was based on Mithra.
 
The Zoroastrians got a lot of stuff right. They did fairly well discovering some of God's truth, considering they didn't have the special relationship with God that God's chosen people in Israel had. Many people think the three wisemen from the East who visited Jesus were Zoroastrian Magi. I think the bits of truth that show up in so many cultures serve as good evidence that there is a God who reveals Himself to those who really seek Him.

However, most Christians are not familiar with the history and development of their faith, and they don't receive much encouragement to study it from their pastors (who also might not be well-educated on the subject) or from religious schools.

Religious authorities have long feared that the more you know, the less religious you are likely to be, or at least the more likely you are to start questioning the premises of your faith. And they are quite right to fear that, as history demonstrates.

I'm still working on realising the importance of Zoroastrianism in "Star Trek" and "Star Wars".
 
Call it what you will. We believe his name is God and his Son of our World/Kingdom is Jesus the Christ...No other name compares....

That may be where the term "Zoro" originated from however.
