Right now, DC comics has the biggest share in sale units in 37 countries making them the largest beating out Marvel. Right now they're getting pretty rich off of their comic sales which has been breaking numerous records with the reboots having sales figures they haven't seen in a long time. Literally instead of saving the cash and investing for better writers and getting better over seas deals like teaming up with different comic book publishers over seas and getting bigger in places like Japan by advertising more, they're making TV shows, Movies, and even Live shows (musicals, Broadway etc.) instead. It's like they don't care they're having a big boom in sales in their comic books, they rather have merchandise and what not instead.
