Different markets do have more sales, then others; however in the end GM shows Pontiac to have very low sales compared to Buick. I while I do like the look of many of the Pontiac's. It is ultimately a redundant line of Chevy. This is the same thing that killed Oldsmobile. Oldsmobile was a redundant line of Buick. When the sales dropped off from olds, despite everything GM did to save it, they in the end, killed the line. They have been attempting to do the same with Pontiac, but it has just not been working. GM spent a lot of time revitalizing Buick and it paid off with a large increase in sales. Also the Government Bail out has forced GM to cut costs in many areas, Pontiac, Saturn and Saab where the unfortunate casualties of it. It sucks, it’s horrible to see such a historic line die, but in then end, the bottom line is what counts.
