really starts to hurt? Like i just said in the question it really hurts and it stops me from doing exercise or even just simple things like walking! I don't know what it is but i think it is the bone does anyone know what it is please help!

In most people, the second toe is the longest of them all. Make sure your shoes are properly sized.

Did you injure your foot? Are your arches low?

Check your foot for heavy callous or thickening, showing unusual pressure on the joint at the base of the toe.

For a quick trial, wear good quality cross trainer shoes that give a soft spongy support to your walk or run. Tape a piece of thin felt along the bottom of that painful toe and joint to lift it up a small amount, shifting the weight pressure of walking to other parts of the foot.

If that fails, see your family doctor or a podiatrist.

If it hurts around the edges, it could be an ingrown toenail. I had one removed, because I played football, and when people stepped on my toe, I would start to bleed. That's painful...

If it feels almost like a sprain, maybe you hit it, or something.

(before doing any exercise or anything to make it hurt) with no shoes on bend it around a little and see if that hurts.. if that does go see a doctor..it could be broke or at least sprained...
if that doesnt..I would say you either are wearing to small or to narrow or s shoe...
