If I go into a book store I won't find books on craft with other religious works, why is that? And if I ask a question on here it puts me in mythology not spirituality and religion. Doesn't that seem weird to anyone else?
Riley, Wicca has NOTHING to do with Harry Potter. If you are completely ignorant of the subject please don't answer. Wicca is a belief system just like any other religion. If you think a talking snake, burning bushes, raining sulpher and fire and coming back from the dead are reasonable you need a serious reality check.
Inquisitor, I agree completely but I wasn't trying to drum up hate and suggesting that Christ is a myth gets ppl pretty peeved. So I took this route instead.
In Harry Potter you have an inborn ability to "cast spells" etc and no matter what faith you have or religious belief you hold that is true. Wicca is a belief system with morals, guides, rituals and rules. Harry Potter is a fantasy world where people have magic powers, real Wicca is not about flying brooms or dragons. It's about affecting your reality through ritual and intention and living according certain moral guides. I can't believe I'm even debating this.
