We have replaced the starter, battery, ignition switch, ignition key switch and the pick-up still will not start.
We have replaced the battery, ignition switch, ignition key switch and 2 starters. Its a 1990 GMC Sierra. It will not start.
Does it turn over when you turn the key? Or is it just dead?
If it turns over, the fuel pump might be defective. You can check it by turning off the radio , the heater and all accessories, open the door or have someone listen under the truck for a "buzzing" or "whirring' sound when you turn the key on, but before you engage the starter. If you don't hear that sound, your fuel pump is probably bad.
If it's just dead, then your Electronic Engine Control (EEC) might be bad.
