why won't my 3d blue rays play in 3d?

i have a sony bravia 3d ready tv with a transmitter and a 3d ready blu ray player but every time i try to click the "play in 3d" option on the blu ray menu it comes up with something like " you need a 3d enabled tv and blu ray player to watch in 3d"

Have you got a 1.4 fast HDMI cable?

Most HDMI's are 1.3 and unable to transmit 3D information and you will get this message

Another thing to check is PS3 settings. Have you gone to display>enable 3D?

You need to have both of the above to play 3D options on your system
