Will there ever be a Xbox handheld console?

I believe they might or will release xbox handhelds, so far the biggest name of technology are android phones over selling iphones. Microsoft might release a teaser inside one of their magazine ads about the xbox handheld but if the xbox 720 is released it might or might not happen

Because they really do not need to. Handheld consoles are released purely to try and give a company an edge over another (it was the new craze with technology), microsoft don't even need to waste the time doing so due to the fact they dominate the computing market (and fan boys of other consoles/computers, suck it up because it is 100% true), they also dominate the gaming market, so they already have the biggest 'edge' over any other company. So their is really no need for them to release one.

And for the person above, no offense, but realistically, Sony is no more a threat to MS then a spider is to a Human, they can scare them, but ultimately can never be bigger then them.

Maybe in about 5-10 years because of what they create. They have to work with computers, Windows 7, phones, xbox live... I think there is a little to much at the moment. Also, its like all the ideas have already have been used

I was just about to ask this same question lol, Ive been curious about this for a while.
I was thinking that they are probably going to have to consider it eventually in order to maintain competition on all levels with Nintendo and Sony

* and kyle I see what your saying but some gamers might like the experience of playing handheld games over consoles and with the technology today the handhold systems are almost as good as the consoles. Eventually if there is more of a demand for handheld consoles, microsoft is going to have to consider going that route
yea but there going to want to take any measures to ensure they can make as much money as possible and if that includes making a handheld console then they will no doubt do it
