will u rent a bike? cheaper than having a car? cheaper than using public transport?

as part of my marketing work, i jus want to knw how many people will actually consider renting a bike? let me knw if your a student/young professional etc. currently in France it costs 75p per half hour, but they have stands all over the city so you can put the bikes away and scan your card to let them knw ur not using it, etc
and when and why u wud use it?

well i'm looking for UK opinions, but i don't mind if ppl from other countries let me knw how it may work or not for them
