windows 7 desktop gadgets are not working!?

whenever i start a gadget a small white box apperas in place of gadget .it is after when i installed a new gadget from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/personalize/gadgets. that is GPU observer i tried uninstalling it but it didn't worked .the gadgets are still not working.can some body help me.
