Windows 7 divx player?

Okay so a few days ago I got windows 7.
Everything seemed to be working fine until I tried to watch a moving on stagevu.
It uses the DivX player, so I downloaded it.
I paused it to let it load, and when I hit play, the screen of the player flashes and goes to the beginning of the movie, and won't play video or sound, but counts the seconds as though it is still playing.

How can I fix this?

Try getting a new graphics card. If you have no clue what that means, it's the board inside your computer that translates binary output into a visual thing on your monitor. If you take your computer into a geek squad or something they can get a new one for you.
