I bought a new computer. It came with Windows Media Player 12. My old computer had WMP 10.

WMP 12 can't seem to seek. By that I mean: Let's say I got an audio file in there that's 15 minutes in length. I'm trying to get to 6:14, and I drag the bar on the bottom to get there. In version 10, when I drag the bar, it'll tell me exactly which point in the file I'm dragging to, so I can re-start the clip at exactly 6:14 without having to actually release the mouse button and do trial and error to find that mark.

In version 12, I can't get it to tell me where I'm dragging the bar to. It's obnoxious. Anyway to fix this?

PS Sorry if I'm using bad terminology. I'm not a computer person, but I hope I made things clear enough for someone to answer my question. Thanks!
