Windows movie maker Or Power Point onto a DVD?

I want to make my mum and dad a Dvd full of photos of everything :D
But Can i make it on Windows movie maker or power point and put it on a DVD?
If so how can i do that, i've tried and just couldn't find away to do it :/
Please help me :)
