When i try to download a torrent from a site, it always asks if i want to "open" or "save". I noticed that it always says that the file im attempting to download is a limewire torrent. After selecting "open" it asks what program to use. Since i didn't see utorrent i selected to "browse" my computer and select the utorrent program. Upon selection the screen just disappears and im back to the screen that asks me to make a program selection. But utorrent still is not a program available. I uninstalled limewire, uninstalled utorrent, restarted computer, and then redownloaded and reinstalled utorrent. Same problem.

Although I'm totally against stealing things from the internet, I'll help you.

1. Select Tools from your explorer (NOT Internet Explorer) window.

2. Then select Folder Options

3. There will be a tab called File Types click on that one.

4. Select the file type you wish to associate with utorrent.

5. On the bottom click on the button that says Advanced.

6. Now click the button that says New.

7. In the 'Action' box type the word 'open'

8. Now click browse and find utorrent on your harddrive.

9. Click OK.

10. If you want you can also put a special Icon for torrent files here too.

That is all. But, if you search around long enough you'll be able to find just about everything you could ever want for free on the internet and you don't have to resort to stealing it.
