conservatives giving up arguing? Where have US conservatives who unabatedly defend thieving, slaving US richclass gone?

http://news.yahoo.com/behind-poverty-numbers-real-lives-real-pain-151738270.html

Liberals are more guilty than the republicans, granted they are all responsible. We need some real leadership, say Ron Paul. Obama plans on increasing inflation so the national debt is easier to pay off. The poor get poorer under Obama, Reid, and Pelosi.

Poverty existed since the rise of any civilization.

Its something that will always be there, Liberals will try to use it as an excuse to steal more money from the upper class.

Yes, the face of poverty is quickly changing. It's a shame that an entire party (the republicans) are devoted to just rewarding the rich.

Just think if the American people elect more GOP Conservatives with Tea Party in tow. How much bleak would the economic plight of those in poverty and those soon to be on a growing scale of measurement.

50,000,000 people now live in poverty,47 million get food stamps,,
now fearless leader wants 2 trillion more bucks to try,try try again

Poverty rate is not an accurate depiction of what is going on. ANd the problem is that is country determine what the poverty rate is. WE have very few that are truely in poverty. Poverty is when they do not have enough to eat, not that they don't have luxeries.

Oh I tried reading the document, it's not news and shouldn't be presented as. It's just an editorial put together by a bunch of stories strung together to ellicit response.

If you look at one of the article, and I'm going by memory, because there is alot to read to fidn where in the storeis it is, but one of the girl had to take a class on what is considered necessities and wants, and she reluctantly had to say she didn't want to distinguish the difference.

What liberals want us to do, is feel sad that people don't have enough of what they want. IF they get tax dollars, they should not use it to enjoy life. After we spend money we make on what we need, I do not have any problem that the governmetn takes some of my money to give to those who need help to survive, but after that, the rest should be used for me to enjoy life not for them to.

LOL! Conservatives?!!!! Which party has had control of both houses for 4 years and the presidency for 3?!

When Democrats took control of both houses unemployment was at 5%.

When O'Bama was elected unemployment was at 6%.

In the 3 years the Democrats had a supermajority in both houses and the presidency unemployment has been over 9%!

WOW,DO YOU KNOW THE GIVERS?
PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE THE KIND WHO MADE A BUCK,FROM A BIG CONFLICT?
I THINK YOUR KIND OF SLAVES ARE SOLDIERS NOT FARMERS OR PRODUCERS,BUT IS SAD A SINGLE HAND GUN,KEEP THE POWER AROUND,IN THE LAND OF FEAR?
WHEN IS THE STOCK HOLDER,GIVE SOMETHING?

Conservative and liberal are meaningless labels when it comes to US politicians. Throw them all out.

A better question is why are we doing all we can to finance a war, and yet nothing to provide basic food and shelter to all? A country that continues to spend more money on imperialism than social programs is approaching spirutal death.

Obama likes all Americans to live in poverty.

Not the poverty that the liberals talk about.

The kind of poverty where people do not have the basic needs.

Poverty has exploded since Obama became president.

Perhaps it is time for both sides to stop their petty bickering and blaming each other and start working on solutions.

Yes, there is absolutely no arguing that this happened on 0bama's watch, and started with libs controlling Congress, too.

Since the liberals initiated the War on Poverty in the 1960s something like $10 trillion has been spent of various social programs and things are arguably worse now. Maybe we should be trying something different. And btw, the current definition of poverty is generous enough that most people in poverty in the US would be considered middle class in most of the rest of the world.
