Would a 2007 Chevy Aveo be a good first car?

I am looking for my first car and I found a 2007 Chevy Aveo for $6,500 with about 27,000 miles on it. It seems like a good deal to me, but I'm wondering what other opinions are. Other cars that are in my price range that I have been looking at are the sunfire and caviler. $6,500 is a bit out of my price range, but it is a newer car than I have been seeing. Would this be a good buy for me? And would the Aveo be better than the Sunfire of Caviler? Thanks!
