well i just updated my firmware for my router now i can choose wpa personal instead of wep.. now this is my question.. it says WPA Algorithims and it says choose either TKIP or AES.. and also has a space for a WPA Shared Key.. now is that the password that i put in or is that special key that i have to find somewhere..?.. thanks for reading

Select AES;
The Key is a bulletproof passphrase you select for access to the Internet (not to be confused with the administrative name & passphrase used to access these settings)
Also disable UPnP while there.

Note: Mac address filtering will prevent accidental & casual freeloaders, but will not deter committed hackers. Mac addresses are on the front end of packets, therefore un-encrypted and as such, easily copied and used to 'spoof' packets; enabling a 'man in the middle' attacks.
