xbox live to linksys adapter?

using verizon fios as a main wireless connection. i just got fios installed throughout my house. since this has been done, i now have my old linksys wireless router that used to send out signal throught my house. my question is, can i use this routher, to connect into the back of an xbox, connect it through my verizon fios, and pick up the signal wirelessly to my xbox. im sure it can be done, but i am stumped
