2006 BMW 325i Maintenance questions?

I recently bought a 2006 BMW 325i. In service date: Sept 14, 2005.

My Maintenance warranty will be up Sept 14, 2009 and I am considering buying an extended maintenance warranty. The dealership is quoting me $2,195 for 6 years/ 100k mile warranty.

Does this essentially mean that I have until Sept. 14, 2013 if I buy the extension (Im sure the year expiration will come before the miles)??

What is the average annual cost for maintenance on BMWs??
*Oil change
*Brakes
*Alignment
*Etc.

I meant to say, will it expire Sept. 14, 2011 (6 years from "in service date")

In my opinion extended warranties are a waste of money unless you suspect that the vehicle is having problems and you run the car hard and put on a lot of miles annually. Cars wear based on care, maint. and use (mileage etc) Annual cost depends on miles, but an estimate would be about $300 per year.
