I have a 2005 honda accord 4dr and I want to put rims on it.... I want to go with 22s because I have seen it done & it looks really nice but everywhere tire and rim place I have gone 2 says 22s will rub/.. What does that mean? Rub against what? And does the rubbing effect the way the car drives? Or will it damage the car or rims?

Like I said, I've seen it done but im not sure if the car I seen it on had to have any modifications to it to ?A?? them fit....... any and all INTELLIGENT feedback is very much welcome and appreciated!!!!

Thanks!!

When it comes to tires and rims, it's all about clearence! The other thing is how will it affect your speedometer and transmission functions of you front wheel drive vehicle. Do it if you want and it fits BUT, don't be surprised if end up in need of repairs! the car was not meant for 22's.

22's never look nice. They look ridiculous. In a couple of years when this fad is over your going to wish you'd spent that couple of grand one something more practical.

22's DO NOT fit on an Accord. What you seen was a show car that had the wheel wells modified to accept the rims and tires. Even if they did fit, you would not even be able to turn the car into a parking space without doing a 12 point turn, meaning backing up and pulling forward 12 times. You can however squeeze 20's under it AS LONG as the car is not lowered. The width alone can cause major issues and most 20's are 10 inches wide and 22's are 10 inches wide.
