Anyone ELSE ABSOLUTLEY HATE TWILIGHT?

Okay...I completely HATE twilight series
Anyone who guys CRAZY over a fictional character needs to be comitted in a psych ward.
Edward bores me, to the point of near mind breaking boredom. He is the highschool jock, the guy who fucks everyone he meets, but has this one special lassie who he "owns".
Bella is the perfect ditzy slut, who gets anything with a fuck and a blowjob.
Sorry about the cruel words, But i encounter these type of people everyday.

Another thing
These books have NO creativity.
They lack uniqueness.
They are boring.
 
Why all the hate towards 'Twilight"? Does the book imply that it is based on reality? I didn't notice that. Its a fantasy. And its a good fantasy. Its what most women out there would love to have happen. Of course it won't, but what is the harm in reading? Bella is brave, she rushes in to a killers hideout to save her mom. She is decisive and strong, she wants to become a vampire and no matter how hard Edward dissuades her she is firm in her wishes. And who wouldn't??? I would love to be young and wealthy for ever. If it came with a hot guy who made me feel good, even better. And if I met a man that was over a hundred years of age I would expect they knew more then I do. I am secure enough to admit that. Its refreshing that she doesn't whine or constantly find reasons to run from her feelings like many heroines in trite romance novels. Nothing wrong with a great fantasy.

OK. You have never read the book. They never have sex. In fact they decide to wait until they are married. I am sorry you mostly encounter guys who fuck everyone and women who do the same. That expains a lot about you. But its insane to have an opinion on something you have never read. I hope your life improves, an I think if you changed your terrible attitude it might.

i did read the other books. number two = poo, complete crap, i hated every bit of it really. number 3 was a little better and i hate to say it, but i'm interested to read number 4 just to see where the hell Meyer is taking this series.

so to the Twilight hater, stay strong, but chill out, its not insulting anyone's intelligence or any woman's ability to stick up for herself, as you yourself pointed out, it's a fictional book. some chicks like to be taken care of and you shouldn't get so offended by it.

to the Twilight lovers, chill out as well. there's nothing worse than a fan girl going insane over a fictional guy. it's rather pathetic actually, so, um, yeah, get a life and keep reading those books, chickies.

I agree with the last part. But I do understand the reason this book is chosen above other, better written books.
1. The angsty, argumentative, feisty, "chase me" love story has been don to death. I absolutely cannot count the number of books that center around the man tirelessly convincing the woman that he deserves a relationship with her. Now that really is a fantasy. No sane male would chase someone for 200 pages. It is very refreshing to have the two protagonists fall in love for the real reason we all do; chemistry! Love at first sight happens all the time. We usually know if there is a possible spark instantly. Then I look for other criteria as well, but there is nothing like instant attraction. Its heady, and well represented here. You can think I am shallow, if you like, but I am not. Its nice that she admits to what she feels right away. Thats one reason people are drawn to the story.
Also there is almost no inexplicable drama. Bella knows what she wants and knows not to hurt people to get it. She never worries about BS stuff like Edward taking over her life. This odd worry appears in practically every romance book ever written. WHAT does it mean? I have never in my life thought anything that weird about a potential relationship. Its not very realistic. Who out there worries that a guy is TOO protective, TOO helpful, TOO, TOO aware of our needs wealthy even? NO one. We all wish we got more help from our men, not less. Also she wants to be a vampire, which I imagine most people would in reality. In books however the woman is expected to protest and only recieve the obvious blessings of eternal youth through an accident. This book is honest.

I am a total book freak. I read, with great excitement, every piece of written word that finds its way towards me. And I absolutely HATED Twilight.

It was just not well written, and the characters had absolutely no depth at all. Sorry, but being clumsy can NOT be your only character flaw. I should know, with my total and complete lack of grace. Trust me, there's MANY more character flaws lurking under this awkward surface.

Also, I just can't even comprehend that SM wrote three (or is it four now?) entire books on the most cliche'd vampire plot ever. Go to fictionpress.com (it's where i post my writing)- they have like a billion stories where awkward, self-conscious teenage girl meets and falls in love with beautiful vampire. And the whole time I was reading Twilight i just kept thinking, I've read better stories about this same exact plot on fictionpress. BY AMATEURS!!!

Whenever anyone says that Twilight was their fave book or that they loved it, i honestly kind of lose respect for them and wonder how many quality books they've actually read.

All right, ranting is over. But just know that you have an ally in your loathing of the series.

i dont like twilight,seriously,it's a shame how better books that are being released TODAY are being ignored and not widely known
like 'Cut' by Patricia McCormick
that book is deep and actually means something and changes a person too
it's realistic and that's a book that should move u to tears
and 'Speak' by Laurie Halse Anderson
now THAT'S a book that should be widely known
there was a movie,but the movie didn't get much attention what-so-ever
and it took the girl 4 years to get it into a movie!
and the character Melinda has REAL character, true character
when i went to watch the movie on youtube ,the comments were full of the up-coming TWILIGHT movie!!!
why??because Melinda just happened to be the girl playing Bella!
i mean,isn't that just ridiculous?
no one even cared about the movie,they just cared about seeing Bella
one person even made a mv on twilight using speak's scenes and teh twilight's trailer scenes...
that person just ruined the movie 'speak' since 'speak' has way more dept and meaning that twilight

i tried reading twilight but i couldn't get through the first 3 chapters,the book didn't suck me at all
i just skimmed through it and figured that the ending was just what i predicted
why read through teh book if it was just a waste of time?i had better books to read on my shelf,like 'you dont know me'

the author should have made it more interesting,like,involving her family more,or killing the vampire guy Bella was so in love with

It may be a nice daydream, but it makes a terrible book to not have any conflict and constant sunshine.
 
I agree. I hate this series. My gf won't shut up about it, Mr. Oh So Perfect Edward Cullen. As if she wants me to be him. Pisses me off.
 
Oh thank God. There are other people out there who hate this series. I've only read the first two, and I planned on not reading them after I finished the first one, but my friend got me the second book for my birthday (because she wanted to read its retardation XD). All I have to say is...wow, just wow. Need I remind you that this is not a good wow, this is a "holy-crap-I-want-to-punch-someone-in-the-face" wow. In one of my classes, there are two girls who sit near me who LOVE this series. And I say to them "am I the only one who hates this book series?" and I got a solid "yes". ARG. I am sick of this g*****n book! It was almost 500 pages of sheer torture and I would personally rather stab myself in the arm than read the third and/or fourth book. Why can't there be a good fiction book for "young readers" these days? Another thing--the extent of how much Twilight fans love this series. There are websites devoted to helping Stephenie Meyer in the continuation of her new book (Edward as the narrator of the first book called "Midnight Sun") because some Twilight fanatic leaked the first twelve chapters of it and she was so mortified that she postponed it "indefinitely". And the extent to which these fanatics go, is actually rather frightening to tell you the truth. So, no, you are not the only one who absolutely hates Twilight. For awhile, I thought me and my other friend were the only ones.
 
And it frustrates me that such an awful book became so famous / popular. I love fiction myself and it's a good thing if you get indulged in a story, but so many people who read it become nearly entranced with it. Liking Twilight is fine, but seriously, there's a limit. Ugh.

I love twilight but I agree, its not the best book. But strangely addicting. I also agree that it isn't the most well written book, but has its good points.
- Edward is not perfect. Yes, Bella thinks he is, but I think that the reader is supposed to be able to point out some obvious flaws. Its so backwards when you are saying. " I hate Edward Cullen. Hes too perfect!!! And hes too overprotective, too cold, ect." LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING BEING OVERPROTECTIVE IS OBVIOUSLY A FLAW!! Who cares how Bella sees it, hes not perfect. Most people cant see that because the books are from her point of view. And everything else you can pick on him for.
- I understand that all of those crazy teenage fangirls just make you go crazy!! but please try to read it with an open mind, or try to read it at all before you comment about it. To my belief, twilight is not the best book in the series, and Bella & Edward are not the best characters. You don't have to like them to read the series, except if you hate them, then you definitely will hate Twilight and Breaking Dawn. I like new moon, less Edward.
- I once saw a list of "worst books of all time made by people like you. It included the Twilight as #3, Wicked as #4, Pride and Predjustice as #6, even Jonathan Livingston Seagull!!!!!! Classics, and just plain good books. I used to hate all of you twilight-haters, but now i just dont understand.
- I am very sorry that books tend to have Prince Charmings in them. That tends to happen a lot...
- Excuse me, but vampires are just not original enough??? Sorry, but if anyone else wrote a vampire book that you liked better, you wouldn't use that point. Or maybe you just don't like vampire books, so in that case why don't you just say so???
- Contradicting my earlier point, it is not a typical vampire book. NOT. And you cant be mad at a book for what it is. The characters, how its written, the plot, fine, but if you wanted to read a more traditional vampire book than you should of. I couldn't even stand reading Dracula after I read Twilight, but maybe if I had read it first it would have been the opposite??

twilight is awsome and I am not afreaid to admit it even though I am a guy Il admit it has some down parts but it is still a great series

I will admit to liking Twilight like 2 years ago before it became a big cliched piece of crap. The other books in the series are absolutely awful, not even worth reading. I was extremely disappointed. It really disgusts me to see all of these girls gushing about a FICTIONAL character like that. I can't believe they made a movie out of it, which I sure is going to be horrible. The cast doesn't fit the characters what so ever. I really think Stephanie Meyer sold out. HUGE disappointment.

Go read some real books please.
 
I agree with you. Twilight was a terrible book. Bella and Edward had absolutely no flaws whatsoever making them the perfect couple. However, Meyer did add that Bella was clumsy. Clumsy is not a flaw, everybody is clumsy in their own special way. Now I'm a Freshman in High School, and after reading that English teacher's comment above me, she's right. No person in high school can gather new friends that fast and find the love of her life that very same day. And every, and I mean EVERY sentence of Bella's, describing how utterly beautiful and god-like Edward is. I'm sorry to say, but we all got the message twenty chapters ago. To add to this, the plot is severely rushed, in other words, they realize their true feelings for each other about five chapters afterwords. When the time came and they finally kissed each other, the reader is supposed to have mixed emotions and set the book down to catch their breath, then keep re-reading the passage over and over again. But I wasn't affected at all. I knew it was going to happen in that chapter, so it held no surprises for me. Now let's skip a few books, from what I've heard, Edward gets his darling Bella pregnant. From what I've read up about vampires, they are supposed to be classified as the living dead. When a person's dead, their sex organs are supposed to be lifeless as well. So that leaves the question, how did Bella get pregnant? Meyer's excuse was; "Vampire's venom can work miracles!" A five word explanation that didn't explain anything. For one thing, venom, vampire's or not, kills the victim of its choosing. I've never heard of venom making a human pregnant. And since vampires are dead, they cannot produce sperm cells. So basically, it's just a stone dildo. I'd like to see Meyer explain that. As for Bella-sue, she's always depending on her vampire hero Edward to save her, which he always does. Even when he left, she starts over reacting and then starts egging Jacob on, and may I remind you he's already into her? Jacob has flaws, such as being a pervert and anger management. What I don't understand is why readers hate Jacob so much. He has flaws, unlike Edward. I hate to break it to you readers, but there is no guy out there who is as perfect as Edward, and what worries me is that some fangirls name their screen name as, "Lauren Cullen" or, "Miss Bridget Cullen". Edward is not real, so get a FLAWED boyfriend. And yes, I am done ranting.

Oh, and for those of you who think Twilight is the best vampire book out there, you obviously haven't read too many books. Read Cirque du Freak, maybe then you'll understand how vampires are supposed to behave. Later.
