dark side, a very dark side? Fraudulent American religions started by con artists and charlatans are a dime a dozen. The USA is like a Petri dish of perfect parameters for procreating purveyors of proselytizing pretenders. If you want a reason for why public education levels in the USA are so woeful, then look no further than all the phony religions started by American con artists. If the US government did step in and say, “No! Bad Joe Smith!” and “Bad L.Ron Hubbard,” and “Bad “Judge” Rutherford,” it means the people of the USA would be losing a little bit of freedom, but sacrificing a little freedom is the price we pay for prosperity, right?

Sure society has a dark side, but there are tons of people doing good as well. I don't think people are evil or good, they just are.

It weeds out the stupid people by relieving them of their financial burdens . They have fewer children and eventually the world is a much more intelligent place.

For the record, Jehovah's Witnesses are not an "American" religion.

Yeah, it started in America, but it's definitely global as there are Jehovah's Witnesses in every country of the world.
