Blue Ray Vs. DVD Vs. Cd. Storage Difference How?

All three discs are same in size but why there is a so much Difference between Storage sizes? How is it possible?
 
for the DVD vs. CD comparison, these two have pits in them. these pits are being, etched, when trying to store data in them DVDs have more and smaller pits in them so more data.

blue ray vs. others: blu-ray wave has smaller wavelength than the laser(which is also a wave) that is used in the DVDs and CDs so it's able to access even smaller of these pits.
